Lately, we feel like we have been seeing Natasha Lyonne everywhere. It was only a few weeks ago that she dropped by our office to engage in an unfiltered conversation full of non-stop banter. Today, she's back in our sights, making her big music video debut.
The Orange Is the New Black actress was recruited to star in a brand-new music video for Against Me!, the Laura Jane Grace-fronted punk rock band that has been on the scene since 2001. Directed by Ione Skye, "333" demonstrates a push-pull relationship and the tension of sexuality and repression.
“Tons of people have written about love. But while love is cliché, it’s infinitely relevant,” Grace says in a press release. “For me, having always been in a punk band that was expected to be political, I never felt like I had that option to write about feelings in that way. That’s what I ended up being drawn to this time. It’s writing in a way I thought I could never write before, and not giving a shit about expectations.”
"333" is featured on Shape Shift With Me which is out now on Total Treble. Grace's highly anticipated debut memoir, TRANNY: Confessions of Punk Rock’s Most Infamous Anarchist Sellout, is expected for release on November 15 via Hachette Books.
