NYFW Street Style Day 1: Bring On The Chill

Here we go!

It always happens like this. Always. New York City warms up for just a few days before dropping it low into the colder, crisper temperatures for the AW season shows. Hey, at least this time around there's not a trace of snow. Which, like, thank the fashion gods because there are booties to be worn and looks to be turned that just don't jive with snow, you know? There's enough magic happening on the streets of NYC right now that any sort of accumulation would just be unnecessary. There are shoes to stalk, jackets to lust over, and layering inspiration to be had. And boy did the first day offer that up. We're in for one hell of a week. Into the madness we go!

It makes the whole uncanny valley thing even more uncanny

Early critiques of The Lion King have already noted the uncanny valley aspect of the computer-generated animals, and they are not wrong. It's hugely distracting—and the addition of an A-list cast voicing those animals makes it even worse.
