Oberhofer Searches For That “Special Someone” In His New Video
“Someone Take Me Home”
Some scour the online dating scene for love and for hookups, and others out of straight-up fear. In Oberhofer’s new single, “Someone Take Me Home,” the indie outlet waxes poetic about the search for a soul mate before, well, dying sad and alone. Directed by Jonathan Campolo and Josie Ariel Keefe, the video is a psychedelic amalgam of the ending of young love. “It features me at the all-time lowest point of my life: The day Marnie left me,” Oberhofer explains. “I love dogs.” As Marnie the Dog breaks frontman Brad Oberhofer’s heart via a handwritten note and seeks another, err, connection on “Humper,” Oberhofer cries metallic tears and eventually moves on.
“Someone Take Me Home” will be released on the band’s upcoming album, Chronovision Deluxe, out April 29 via Glassnote Records.
