12 Pieces That Will Have You Mad For Plaid
Definitely not your boyfriend’s flannel
Plaid, one of our favorite cold weather patterns, has come a long way from the oversized flannel button-downs we once cozied up in every winter. While plaid made quite a splash on the fall/winter 2016 runways, it’s made its way to a year-long fashion moment, appearing in resort collections from Prada to Altuzarra, Public School, and more. Only this time, plaid is having a moment in a much more sophisticated—read: less grungy—way.
Naturally, we’ve come down with plaid fever and want to wear the pattern for the rest of 2017. We rounded up 12 of our favorite pieces of the season—and they’re definitely not anything remotely similar to your borrowed boyfriend’s flannel. From polished blazers and pussy bow blouses to sporty bomber jackets, plaid is back in a big way. We’re even seeing a resurgence of the classic mini skirt, à la Clueless, reimagined in the most delightful way.
