The Blow’s Lo-Fi Take On This Whitney Houston Classic Is Unlike Anything You’ve Ever Heard

Let's face it: Music covers are, and always will be, totally addictive. There's always something exciting about hearing some of your favorite artists cover one another. And it seems like lately, we've seen a ton of them. From HAIM covering Selena Gomez while using household items as instruments to Charli XCX and Halsey's take on the Spice Girls, nothing is off limits. And today, premiering right here on NYLON, that boundlessness continues, thanks to this new lo-fi take on the Whitney Houston classic "Greatest Love Of All," courtesy of The Blow.

The totally random and charming electro-acoustic cover is the indie-pop duo's second single off of its upcoming record, Brand New Abyss, following the release of "Get Up." The album is Melissa Dyne and Khaela Maricich's most involved record, with all songs written, performed, and produced by them and engineered and mixed by Dyne.

“After having worked heavily with samples in the past, we got to a place where we wanted to treat electronic sound more acoustically, like something more alive," says Dyne of the forthcoming record. "We wanted to make waves that we could ride and play around in—newer waves.”

Brand New Abyss is out everywhere September 22.
