Shenae Grimes and Josh Beech only wed two months ago, but they've already created a success most couples couldn't even dream of. Their child-of-sorts, Two Halves, is an online creative forum that anchors punk rock energy with bohemian spirit, the perfect yin-yang.
Until two nights ago, the newlyweds covered other peoples' music and fashion projects on the Two Halves blog. Now, they're using Two Halves to launch their own misfit-themed fashion and jewelry line.
"The inspiration behind our branding and debut collection is the California desert, the gritty streets of South London and our love of rock and roll throughout its most iconic periods," Grimes and Beech told us. "We wanted to fulfill our dreams of creating something we felt was a true representation of us, as individuals and as two halves and we couldn't be bothered to wait for anyone else to make that happen."
The result? Reptilian gold-plated brass bangles and studs, unisex arrowhead silver ox rings and pendants, and graphic tees.
"We know there are an infinite amount of people out there who feel like misfits, too, for one reason or another and our aim is to create pieces each one of them can identify with, in their own way. We want strength, passion and the little badass inside all of us to be reflected in each design we create."
Amen.
