For years, designers—Bob Mackie, Versace, The Blonds, Anna Sui, and Givenchy, just to name a few—have been collaborating with Mattel's Barbie to create special, limited-edition figurines decked out in high-end outfits and accessories. But leave it to VFILES to do something a little different. This season, they teamed up with Bratz to create an exclusive doll and apparel line.
The duo introduced the doll, aptly named Vee Files, during the VFILES Spring/Summer 2016 runway show. Since then, Vee, who goes by the nickname Bad Gal Vee Vee, has been a main staple on Instagram. “In a social media-driven world, we can promote positive change through new and unexpected avenues; which is why the collaboration with Bratz makes so much sense to tap our collective communities to help spread this message of empowerment,” VFILES founder Julie Anne Quay said in a press release.
Vee and the apparel line—which includes a VFILES Sport Plus+Bratz jersey dress, an iPhone 6 case, and a six pin set—will be available this Black Friday at VFILES retail partners, VFILES.com, and VFILES' New York Soho store. Only 250 dolls will be produced, so if you want to get your hands on her, you should probably act quickly.
