Dope was one of the most talked about movie's at this year's Sundance Film Festival, igniting a bidding war betwen studios. One look at the movie's new trailer makes it easy to see why. Written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa, the coming-of-age story about a group of friends navigating life in Inglewood, California, is bursting with energy and features breakout performances from its three young leads, Shameik Moore, Kiersey Clemons, and Tony Revolori, who you might recognize as the bell boy in Grand Budapest Hotel.
The movie follows Malcolm (Moore) and his two friends after a house party goes awry and they discover they're in possession of drugs and a gun the next day. Zoe Kravitz shows up as love interest, and A$AP Rocky, who also produced the film, makes his acting debut as a drug dealer.
Dope hits theaters on June 19.
