Yolanda Foster, mother of Gigi and Bella Hadid, has been battling Lyme disease since 2012 along with Bella and her younger son, Anwar. Foster took to Instagram to speak about how the watching her children suffer has affected her and her hopes to find a cure, posting a photo of her and Bella during one of Bella’s treaments.

Foster captioned the photo, “Watching my brave babies suffer in silence in order to support me in my journey has struck the deepest core of hopelessness inside of me, it is because of them that I continue to fight relentlessly....... I will not allow them to live a life of pain and suffering……. I will prevail and walk to the end of the earth to find a cure for them and millions of others debilitated by this invisible disease!!!! We all deserve to live a healthy life, don't you think?”

Foster first revealed that two of her children were also suffering from Lyme when she was awarded the “Power of One” award by the Global Lyme Alliance for Lyme Disease at the Global Lyme Alliance Gala, where she dedicated the award to her two youngest: 19-year-old Bella and 16-year-old Anwar.

In her speech Foster went on, "This award is for Anwar and Bella. This is my token and my promise to you that I will not allow you to live a life of pain and suffering. I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure so that you can live a healthy life that you deserve.”

Earlier this month, Gigi donated her $25,000 prize to the Global Lyme Alliance for Lyme Disease after she won the Celebrity Showdown episode of MasterChef, accepting her win with a heartfelt speech about how the disease has affected her family.
