Before becoming a "cold, shiny" member of the Plastics on Mean Girls, Lindsay Lohan was a young actor, making her mark on a remake of The Parent Trap. For more than a decade, Lohan has grown up in front of the eyes of the world, leaving behind her childhood beauty routine for serious glam, and lots of red lipstick. In celebration of her birthday, it's time to take a look back at some of her most iconic beauty moments.

1998, Parent Trap Premiere

Lindsay Lohan looked absolutely darling in one of her first red carpet appearances. Here, she smiled, her freckles and red hair on full display.

2002, Treasure Planet Premiere

Years later, Lohan returned to the spotlight, adding bits of blonde highlights to her red hair. Keeping her makeup very minimal, she wore only gloss on her lips.

2003, Teen Choice Awards

Her hair now a shade of strawberry blonde, Lohan wore the newly colored style in an updo. Framing her face with some very '00s fringe, she added pink lip coloring and black liner.

Switching up her color completely, Lohan revealed blonde hair for this appearance. Lining her lids with shimmer and wearing clear gloss, she pinned her curls up.

2005 proved to be a year of change for Lohan. She channeled old Hollywood with these glamorous curls and red lips. And her once blonde hair was now a darker black.

Back to blonde in 2008, Lohan sported much longer hair that cascaded in waves down past her shoulders. She again went with a smoky eye, adding a touch of shimmer.

Back to blonde, Lohan wore her hair in loose waves for the MTV Movie Awards. She also chose a shade of light pink for her lips, and once again, she returned to a smoky eye.

Lohan went with drama for this 2012 red carpet, debuting rich red hair and matching lipstick.

Parting her hair down the middle, Lohan returned to her signature strawberry colored hair. For her lips and makeup, she went peach, wearing neutral shades.
