Jeffree Star In Back Brace Following Car Crash

Jeffree Star provided social media with an update on his condition, following a weekend car crash in Wyoming. On Friday, April 16, Star confirmed on social media that he, along with his friend Daniel, were involved in a “severe car accident.”

Since sharing news of the incident on Friday, Star provided further updates with social media, saying that he was leaving the hospital, but his recovery would be ongoing, People reports. As Star noted in an Instagram Story video, he’s now required to wear a back brace for a few months.

Upon leaving the hospital, he shared photographs of his car after the accident. He later provided an additional update, writing, “The pain is 10 times worse than yesterday but we are doing ok. Love you guys so much Daniel is flying back to Las Vegas today so he can get surgery done by his specialist there.”

In a statement to People, Wyoming Highway Patrol Sergeant Jeremy Beck confirmed that Star was involved in an accident that had occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, April 16. He reported that Star was driving at the time of the crash, and the car had rolled. Referencing the weather conditions, he confirmed, “there was slush on the roadway up in that area."
