To say we were excited when we caught wind that Steve Madden was once again bringing back its iconic chunky, slinky platform slide of our youths—and this time in an assortment of neon shades—would be an understatement. But even before that, we were already stoked on this '90s revival based on the Spring 2019 runways, from the debut of Anna Sui's epic collaboration with Teva to new styles from Michael Kors and Jil Sander.
Now that it's just about open-toe season, we're ready to fully embrace the return of the classic silhouette. Perfect for the pool, the office, or a night out on the town, these clunky flatforms pack all of the height, the comfort, and the ugly-cuteness one could ask for from a spring shoe.
