As brides-to-be are starting to take more offbeat paths to the altar, they are also opting for unique wedding attire to match their unconventional nuptials—and bridal designers are taking note, as was made clear by this most recent Fall 2020 Bridal Fashion Week. While there were plenty of white gowns walking down the runways, there were just as many fashion-forward, avant-garde bridal looks sent out by designers.
This season was big on florals—and not just in the form of the tulle flower embellishments typical of bridal wear but, rather, dresses featuring hand-painted flowers (Theia, Monique Lhuillier, Ines di Santo) that looked like they'd been plucked straight from Impressionist paintings. The wedding pants trend also continued to evolve, with bridal jumpsuits and suits part of almost every collection, but there were also overalls (Laure de Sagazan) and hotpants (Sahroo) making an appearance this season.
Ahead the most standout looks from Bridal Fashion Week Fall 2020.
