'Euphoria' & 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Lead MTV Movie & TV Awards Nominations
This year’s ceremony will recognize both scripted and unscripted series and films.
The 2022 edition of the MTV Movie & TV Awards is recognizing the best of scripted and unscripted television and film, with Euphoria, RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Batman, and Spider-Man: No Way Home leading the nominations.
The network announced all of the nominations on Wednesday morning, as well as its location and date; the ceremony will take place Sunday, June 5th at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and air live from Santa Monica’s Barkar Hangar.
New, very MTV-esque categories like “Here For the Hookup” and “Best Reality Return” are here to spice things up a bit, with a major focus on unscripted and docu-series like The Real Housewives and Jersey Shore, making the ceremony stand out from its fellow awards shows.
The awards categories also continue to be gender-neutral. Fans can vote across 26 categories starting May 11 and through May 18 at 6 p.m. ET on vote.mtv.com.
