Lizzo Wore A Hershey's Chocolate Gown To The 2020 BRIT Awards
It's a vintage design by Jeremy Scott from his debut Moschino collection
On Tuesday night in London, Lizzo arrived at the 2020 BRIT Awards red carpet dressed as high-fashion milk chocolate. The singer, who's nominated for an International Female Solo Artist award and set to perform on stage, wore a custom Moschino gown designed by Jeremy Scott, modeled after a Hershey's chocolate bar wrapper.
"The best kind of chocolate," Lizzo wrote on her Instagram, showing off her look, which also included jewels by Lorraine Schwartz.
Scott dug out the custom gown design from his archives, specifically from his debut collection for Moschino back in February 2014 when it was presented on the runway by Jourdan Dunn during Milan Fashion Week. It was the same collection that introduced what has become Scott's signature for Moschino: heavy-handed twists on corporate marketing and logos, including McDonald's and Spongebob-inspired ready-to-wear designs.
Scott kept it just as cheeky on Instagram where he posted a photo of Lizzo in the gown writing, "SHE MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH NOT ON THE RED CARPET." (And if you're craving to purchase a gown of your own, 1stdibs is selling a similar version for a cool $8,500.)
Perhaps the best part of Lizzo's evening look is her custom jeweled chocolate bar clutch designed by Judith Leiber. Lizzo showed off the sparkling bag in a video on Instagram while listening to Britney Spears' "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," naturally.
She wrote: "If you ever wondered what I taste like…"
Well, now we know.
