A True Tastemaker Wears What They Feel
At least, that’s how this small-batch brand sees things
Emo never left, it just grew up. Since the peak of the trend and lifestyle (think Pete Wentz’s 2007 guyliner), it has matured—much like it’s audience—fusing itself with artistic themes, aesthetically pleasing visuals, and a new, positive, thought process.
Tastemaker Collective and its limited-edition windbreaker are the result of this new postmodern aesthetic. Previous and current emo kids rejoice, this new gem of a windbreaker, which sports the bold slogan, “I’m Sad Today But I’ll Be Happy TMRW" is available on NYLONshop until November 10. That's almost a whole month of emo!
Available in orange and black, this unisex jacket lets wearers nonchalantly reference their emotional states (status quo, who?), deliver an "inspirational" message, and maintain an artsy, completely put-together look. Sporting an asymmetrical hem and dramatic side slits, the one-of-a-kind design is an update to the average windbreaker, bringing the style's look into 2016. Could we ask for anything more? Probably not.
The L.A.-based brand is known for its effortlessly cool and versatile pieces, claiming current It Girls Kylie and Kendall Jenner as fans of the brand.
