You might know Christina Milian for her timeless bops like "Dip it Low" and "Between Me and You," but she's also the co-founder of Persona, a tech company that powers Fenty Beauty's Facebook Messenger chatbot.
The "chatbot for influencers" responds within seconds and can do everything from help you find your foundation shade (it was fairly accurate for me) to offer personalized product recommendations. If you don't know your undertones, the bot can help with that too, asking important Qs like, "How does your skin react in the sun?" and what shades of jewelry look best on you. The bot then uses an algorithm to determine the best products based on your responses.
Fenty Beauty demonstrated how to use the tool on its Instagram back in June, and celebrated the new feature with a #FentyFace giveaway, where winners could win an assortment of Fenty Beauty products just for trying the chatbot. Persona also runs bots—that can do everything from provide selfie filters to promote causes the celeb is passionate about—for other collaborators like Katy Perry, whose bot can also tell weird robot jokes, and Milian's longtime friend Karrueche Tran.
While this collaboration might not be as exciting as a song featuring the two or a joint Fenty Beauty product, it definitely comes in handy when shopping for makeup online.
