The Most Gorgeous Beauty Looks From The 2019 Golden Globes
Monochromatic everything
We've officially kicked off the 2019 award show season with tonight's Golden Globes, and after checking out the red carpet? We must say, we're off to a pretty strong start.
The Golden Globes isn't typically known for serving us some mind-blowing red carpet beauty, but this evening, the stars came to slay. On top of classic looks typical to an awards ceremony (bold red lips, sweeping waves, winged liner, etc.), we saw plenty of head-turning hair and makeup.
For starters? The carpet was alive with color, especially on the eyes, from Camilla Bell's emerald green look to Lili Reinhart's sultry red. And then there's Lady Gaga, who matched her Cinderella gown to her icy blue hair. But Gaga wasn't the only star to opt for an allover color look, as monochromatic beauty seems to be the trend of the evening.
Check them all out, and the rest of our favorite looks from tonight's red carpet, below.
We're getting total Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra from Camilla Belle's stunning green smokey eye.
Thandie Newton, we are not worthy of you (or your fierce mane)!
Janelle Monae never fails to serve some serious looks on the red carpet, and tonight's braided buns neatly tucked under this metallic gold Chanel hat are no different.
Lili Reinhart went for a monochromatic look, matching her eye makeup to her fluttery red gown, which matched the carpet.
Also opting for all things monochromatic? Lupita Nyong'o, matching her vibrant blue liner to her fringed gown.
Another matchy-matchy look we loved was Mj Rodriguez, who rimmed her lids with the same cerulean blue as her dress.
But the true queen of allover color on the red carpet? Lady Gaga, who matched her icy blue locks to her Cinderella blue gown.
How to elevate a ballerina bun? Throw in a swooping side part à la Sofia Carson.
We're loving Kiki Layne's sculptural braids.
Dakota Fanning may have opted for an ultra-bright red lip, but we can't take our eyes off those incredible brows.
Amber Heard's slightly unkempt waves gave us serious Kirsten Dunst-as-Marie Antoinette vibes.
Sandra Oh went for retro-inspired waves to host tonight's awards ceremony.
Laura Harrier paired her classic red lip with a sleek ponytail.
We took one look at Indya Moore and came down with some serious curl envy.
We don't know what we love more: Lucy Boynton's icy-yet-beachy waves or her smokey, graphic eyeshadow.
We're loving Lena Waithe's chic bleached blonde buzz.
