Marni x Carhartt WIP Brings Color To Utilitarian Classics

Marni x Carhartt WIP is a colorful remix of your favorite utilitarian silhouettes.

by Layla Halabian

The colorful world of Marni is getting the utilitarian touch in a first-ever collaboration with Carhartt WIP.

Carhartt WIP’s classic silhouettes like the Active Jacket, OG Chore Coat, and Single Knee Pant are among the designs hit with Marni’s splash of color and two-tone clover print.

The campaign stars legendary funk musician Bootsy Collins, his wife Patti, and grandson Vincent, along with musician Babyxsosa in their Cincinatti home.

The collaboration will also keep you fitted in the winter months with rich leather and shearling like the four-pocket Michigan Coat and vest, plus design details like heart-shaped gold-toned buttons that reflect Carhartt archives dating back to 1889.

The collection lands on January 14, and will be available at online, in Marni boutiques, in selected multi-brand stores across the globe, as well as selected Carhartt WIP flagships. Japanese fans will be able to join the hype on January 25. See more photos, ahead.
