In the fashion-meets-nostalgia gag of the year, Mowalola and Bratz are collaborating on a new series of premium, limited-edition dolls.

Mowalola’s signature transgressive aesthetic got shrunk down for the iconic Bratz dolls, offering mix-and-match outfits and accessories for Jade and Felicia.

We’re talking Mowalola staples like the Bundle bag, a mesh dress, a pleather set, platforms, wraparound sunglasses, and head-turning options.

“Growing up as a tomboy in Lagos, Nigeria, I have always been fascinated by Bratz dolls with their extreme beauty, looks, and out-of-this-world-fashion,” said designer Mowalola Ogunlesi.

“This collaboration with the brand gave me the opportunity to re-examine the ideals of beauty and femininity and how I could bring Bratz into my world and make them reflect my own ideas of beauty,” she continued.

In designing the dolls, the Mowalola team drew inspiration from their favorite Bratz collections over the past 21 years, including Tokyo A Go-Go, Pretty ‘N’ Punk, Treasures, and Live in Concert.

Bratz has long had an eye for tasteful designer collaborations, and most recently teamed up with GCDS and Cult Gaia.

The Bratz x Mowalola premium, limited-edition collector dolls are available online at Walmart, Target, Amazon, and at Mowalola’s website.
