NYLON's Favorite Creatives Get Dressed For A Dream Night Out
We might not have any plans tonight, but we can still get dressed up like we do.
After months of staying home, our party plans — no matter what they may entail, from all-day BBQs to all-night ragers or simply just laying low with a close group of friends — still remain up in the air. But one thing is clear: We're all craving a big night out, especially with the ones we love most. So, we asked some of our favorite stylish people about what their ideal night would be — once all of *this* is over.
Read on to find out who's dreaming to go out and, most importantly, what they plan on wearing. They dressed up in their best 'fits at home and filled us in on what they're up to now. If you're feeling inspired, we have details on where to shop their looks, too.

Where are you quarantining?
I’m in NYC by myself! I moved into a studio here a couple of months ago.
What are you doing for fun while staying home?
Painting and wallpapering my walls, buying an obscene number of plants, and paying off never-ending debt to a virtual raccoon.
Tell us about your outfit for your dream night out.
It's one of those outfits that I have no clue what event it would be for, which describes most of my outfits.
What's the party plan for when lockdown is over?
I attend the Oscars in a custom Rodarte gown and win "Best Picture" and "Best Original Screenplay" for some self-aware, coming-of-age movie. Bong Joon Ho gives me a high five. Then, I change into my pictured outfit for the after-party, where I accidentally rom-com style bump into Joseph Gordon-Levitt — except he's 25 and single. We dance the night away and fall madly in love.

Where are you quarantining?
My apartment in Bushwick. Though, my life feels like one long Zoom call.
What are you doing for fun while staying home?
I am moving with impulses towards happiness in whatever way possible. Bath mid-day? Dance party? Coloring? All fair game. This moment has an immeasurable gravity, but we all need to be sure to treat ourselves to levity when our schedules allow for it.
Tell us about your outfit for your dream night out.
This outfit is a half-gown, half-jumpsuit and earrings from Tongoro Studio, which is designed by Sarah Diouf. My darling friend Brian Keith Jackson gifted me this from Senegal a week or so after Beyoncé wore Tongoro in one of her music videos, so the timing was perfect.
What's the party plan for when lockdown is over?
It's actually super low-key. I just miss my friends. I've always loved the pre-game more than the main event, so I just want to drink some wine on someone else's couch.

What are you doing for fun while staying home?
I’m having fun reading, playing with my doggie, and eating my weight in quesadillas every day.

If I could go out properly right now I would wear as many colors as possible! My outfit is tropical fruity extra syrupppp.

My dream night out would be in Harbour Island in the Bahamas cruising around in a golf cart with my friends, eating lobsters, and then having beers on the beach.

Currently in Connecticut at my parents' house!
What are you doing for fun while staying home?
A lot of scrolling on Instagram/Twitter, some TV/movie watching, occasionally making a comedic video to post on the internet.
Tell us about your outfit for your dream night out.
This look is a bit preppier, but HEY it's a night out and we've been locked inside for months. I watched The Second Act and J. Lo wears a white button-down that's tied in the front, so I decided to give that a try.
And tell us about your dream night out.
A candlelit dinner sipping a margarita with salt, sitting across from an interesting person. I'm at a place I have to fly to because air travel would be legal again. After dinner, I've had enough to drink that I forget how much my feet hurt and then, honey, we're going dancing.

San Diego with my family.
What are you doing for fun while staying home?
Creating! Working on music and photo projects has been super therapeutic for me during this time.
Tell us about your outfit for your dream night out.
I’m wearing one of my favorite brands, Perfect Number. I feel illuminated with a hint of edge and futurism. The gloves and choker are the best part of this look.
And tell us about your dream night out.
It starts with dinner with my closest friends and a few new faces at a vibey, dimly lit restaurant that softly plays ‘90s R&B and golden era hip-hop.
After, we go to the venue where I’m performing new music. The crowd's energy is crazy and powerful. People are happy to be enjoying music together once again.
