Sarah Y. Wu is a freelance beauty editor, copywriter, and consultant based in Berlin, Germany. She’s written for digital outlets including Glamour, Teen Vogue, Byrdie, Marie Claire, Women’s Health, Refinery29, and Forbes, where she’s a senior contributor. She’s also been the behind-the-scenes voice for some of your favorite brands: from freelance editorial creative director at Milk Makeup, to copywriter for Glow Recipe, Dermstore, Color Wow, Interparfums, Zoeva, and Elektra Health.
To push for change in the industry, she’s consulted on diversity and inclusion initiatives with Backstory Consulting and independent brands. Previously, she was the Beauty Features Editor at Teen Vogue, where she helped introduce the brand’s annual Acne Awards franchise and launched the publication’s first-ever Asian Pacific American Heritage Month package.
When she’s not typing a million words a minute, she enjoys slathering her face in serum-moisturizer-SPF sandwiches and showering herself in baked goods. See more of her work at sarahywu.com or connect with her on Instagram @say.wu.
