We Kicked Off Pride Month With Steve Madden
See what went down, here
At NYLON, we spend Pride month in constant celebration. Many of us are queer, so it's a month of celebrating ourselves and what makes us unique. To kick it all off, we threw a party with Steve Madden at the brand's newly renovated 34th Street store in Manhattan, filling the space with balloons, gay bops, and (duh) rainbow shoes.
What's better, Steve Madden donated 10 percent of the proceeds from all its Manhattan stores to the Stonewall Community Foundation on June 5, the day of the party. We invited a few of our favorite queer influencers—including some iconic drag queens, of course—to celebrate with us. See what went down, below.
Feeling gay and proud before I even step foot in the door. This balloon installation by Badass Balloon Co. will be up for the rest of the month, so check them out before they pop.
Preach!
Our queens of the hour: Crystal Mesh, HaraJuku, and West Dakota.
Taliwhoah, with her mom and friend, makes my heart sing.
I was staring up at the balloons for most of this event.
Ben Wagner and West Dakota must have had some gossip to tell Fran Tirado. I need to know what they said to him. What is the tea??
Tyler Wallach was on-site decorating SM shoes with rainbows and hearts.
The purveyor of the aforementioned gay bops, Robi D Light.
This is my preferred party aesthetic.
Our experiential partnerships manager Amy Buchanan posing with Mitchell Kuga and Justin Wee makes my heart melt.

Hi, I need to be friends with Loren Kennedy, Brian Morr, and Brandon Osorio ASAP.
Taliwhoah and Raquel Willis are the most beautiful creatures on the planet, pass it on.
Sarah Sulsenti and Kate Austin are my new fave couple.
Just in case you forgot what month it is.
