'The Powerpuff Girls' Collection Of Our Dreams Is Coming

Under the vision of Christian Cowan

In case you're not already aware, The Powerpuff Girls—our favorite trio of ladies fighting crime and the forces of evil—turned 20 this year (feeling old yet?). To ring in this very special anniversary properly, the show has teamed up with New York-based designer Christian Cowan on an exciting and empowering special-edition collection celebrating girl power in the most fashion way possible.

This is far from your average cartoon merch collection though. While we don't have full details just yet, you can expect it to be just as extravagant as Cowan's usual work. There will be three glittery suits in blue, green, and pink—the gal's signature shades—as well as a high necked, long-sleeved, feathered tri-colored mini dress. The villain of the series, Mojo Jojo, will also be reimagined as a structured, asymmetrical cut, ruffled dark purple gown—quite the frock for a villainess.

Known for his sparkly and outrageously in-your-face designs, Cowan champions femininity, fearlessness, and strong women season after season. And based on everything that Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup stand for, we couldn't think of a more perfect match to bring The Powerpuff Girls into high fashion. "I am thrilled to be partnering with such an iconic brand whose message is about supporting one another and kicking butt no matter your age, size, or gender," says Cowan in an official press release. "I grew up watching The Powerpuff Girls, and I am so lucky to have the opportunity to create a collection inspired by characters that advocate for sisterhood and positivity."

Of course, this collaboration is about more than just the clothes. As both The Powerpuff Girls and Cowan stand up to gender inequality, this collaboration will directly benefit She's the First (STF), a nonprofit organization that works to fight gender inequality through education.

The collection is set to launch, aptly, on March 8, International Women's Day. For now, stay tuned as we find out more information and mark your calendars, because this collab is sure to sell out quick.
