Welcome to our new series Witch City, where host Michelle Tea travels the country to learn what it means to be a modern witch. We've started in Brooklyn, where Tea enlists the help of author Mya Spalter to give us a crash course in the meanings behind altars and how to build one for yourself. We also talk to drag queen Judy Darling, who views the act of drag as a form of ceremonial magic.

Tea then gets personal with Banu Guler, the CEO and co-founder of astrology app Co-Star. Guler tells us that astrology is more than just your sun sign, and, in fact, everyone has multiple different signs which we can use to understand how we relate to one another.
