If I live for anything, it's for finding artists who totally flip my world for a short minute or two. (Hint hint: this time it's VÉRITÉ). This NYC-based artist is a promising find, and *fingers crossed* she'll make her debut performance here in the city very soon. Cue the light wash denim jeans and tattoo chokers because Heyrocco's new single launches us right into 90's teenage movie nostalgia. Like these Southern sweethearts, we admittedly might not have been the coolest kids in high school—but at least we can pretend like we were while listening to some 90's inspired rock and roll. MB
This throwback by Brooklyn group The Drums is one of my all-time favorite songs and an amazing summer jam. Its 1980s drum kit and jangle pop synthesizers make it the perfect soundtrack to daydreaming about the beach on the commute to work.
