Anthropologie is launching extended sizing for many of its products, making the brand more accessible to people who have previously been unable to shop there. It follows the recent size extensions from brands like J. Crew, Nasty Gal, and Madewell.
According to Glamour, which exclusively dropped the news, the new collection is called A+nthropologie, though it can also be styled as APlus by Anthropologie. The new line will start by extending the sizes of 120 pieces from Anthropologie's "core spring 2019 assortment." Included will be "a mix of in-house labels like Pilcro and Essentials by Anthropologie as well as outside brands including Cloth & Stone and DL1961."
Anthropologie's managing director of design, Richa Srivastava, told Glamour that the launch of extended sizing was a "long time coming." She continues: "Only in the past year or so did we arrive at a place where we were confident we could execute in a considered way, and deliver a collection that would suit [our customers'] wants and needs—and ultimately bring her joy."
The selection of pieces will now be available in sizes 16W to 26W, starting on March 15. They will be available online and in 10 Anthropologie stores across the U.S. and Canada.
