Lupita Nyong’o Brought Wakanda To Cannes

We love her dreamy Dior dress

Lupita Nyong'o has once again dazzled on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, showing up to the premiere of Sorry Angel looking like a, well, literal angel.

While Nyong'o skipped the Catholicism-themed Met Gala this year, she didn't hesitate to provide us with angelic vibes in last night's red carpet ensemble. Lupita is no stranger to wearing regal looks to the film festival, and last night, the Black Panther star chose to wear an ethereal, feathery organza Dior Haute Couture gown, proving that there really isn't anything she can't do—or wear. She radiated Old Hollywood elegance by pairing the dress' high neckline with simple, yet elegant, jewelry.

In terms of beauty, Nyong'o went matchy-matchy by pairing a deep berry lip with a matching, glossy shade on her lids and kept her hair simple by neatly piling it up on top.

However celestial this look may be, the caged organza bodice also gave off total Wakanda vibes. Nyong'o enchanted us even further with her presence by striking a Wakanda salute pose for photographers. Wakanda—and Lupita—forever.
