Here’s how to spice up your swimwear this summer and beyond.
Paraiso Miami Beach just wrapped up its 2022 Swim Week, and the jam-packed schedule featured some of the biggest swimwear trends to come.
Over the four-day event, designers showcased their latest offerings down the catwalk, along with new ways to style summer-ready bikinis and one-pieces with full-on maximalist accessories.
There’s a way to be #summertimefine while staying cool, and the best way to protect yourself from the sun’s harsh rays is pairing your swimwear with a large statement hat, as seen at BFyne’s runway show.
The floppy straw hat trend can be styled with just about any bathing suit, and Beach Bunny proved that the larger the hat, the better.
Add flair to your bikini set, like at JMP The Label’s swimwear presentation, as the daring accessory complemented the brand’s bold printed swimsuits.
ICYMI: Oversized tote bags are in and designers have co-signed the maxi silhouette on the Miami Swim Week catwalk. The spacious design acts as a fashion statement, too.
Designers like BFyne and Monday Swimwear included a gold chain over one-pieces and bikinis, worn loosely at the waist for a slouchy yet polished vibe.
As spotted at Poster Girl, the “It” girl brand crafted sheer mesh gowns as an alternative to the cover-up trend, studded with purple beads.
We’re also wearing summer knits to the water this summer. Pair your knitted gowns with a bright-colored set underneath for a vibrant see-through moment.
Beaded accessories and mini bags are still strong on our trend radar and when combined, they make for an Instagram-worthy, beach-ready statement.
Similar to last year, we’re all here for western-inspired looks, and 2022 Miami Swim Week was no exception. The sought-after aesthetic includes cowgirl boots, bolero hats, and more.
Icon Swimwear was huge on the “yeehaw” aesthetic, dressing models in its latest swimwear and pairing the looks with fun cowgirl boots.
The dazzling detail was also seen embedded into the swimwear itself, as seen on Beach Bunny’s ivory swimsuit set.
Also this year’s biggest “going-out” trend, the chainmail look serves as the ultimate luxe look. for those late night outs after hanging by the water all day.
There’s nothing better than a macramé cover-up, and designers added long fringe detailing to update the look this season. Cupshe layered the fun skirt over a baby blue bikini.
Colombia-based brand Bahía María added macramé in dress form on the catwalk, with the loose strings falling and flowing for an effortless look.
